Shadows Private Club is a members-only lifestyle club at 2504 50th Avenue in Hyattsville, Maryland, inside the Beltway from Washington, DC. It opened in February 2017 and calls itself the only dedicated lifestyle club in the DC metro area.

The club is open five nights a week, until 3 AM midweek and Sunday and until 5 AM on Friday and Saturday. By its own account that is later than most clubs in the region. Every night carries a theme with a live DJ.

Pricing is fully published: a membership pass, then a per-night ticket by guest type. It is BYOB with free mixers, and the club serves complimentary finger foods every Friday and Saturday.

What to Expect at Shadows Private Club

September 2026 listings run a See Through Party on Friday the 18th and a Glow in the Dark Party on Saturday the 19th. All Black Everything follows on Friday the 25th and Diamond Detention after hours on Saturday the 26th. Wednesdays are Wild Out and Hump Day parties, Thursdays bring games and guest nights, and Sundays are Fundays.

Recurring themes include Shadows Play Parties, masquerades, costume nights, Queen of Spades events, and wet t-shirt contests. The Halloween Bash is October 31.

Phones and recording devices stay outside. The music runs R&B, hip-hop, Latin, Afrobeats, and house with DJ Dolla and guests.

Who Can Attend

Couples, single ladies, and single men can all join. Everyone completes a five-minute application, online or at the door, that a club officer usually approves the same day. Approved applicants can attend that night. State ID is required at every visit, 21 and over.

Couples pay $50 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, $60 on Friday, and $70 on Saturday. Single men pay $70 midweek, $120 Friday, and $150 Saturday, when entry is limited to 10 selected single men. Single ladies are free midweek and pay $5 Friday and $10 Saturday.

Memberships run $20 for a one-day pass ($10 for single ladies). Six months or a year costs $69 or $120 for couples, $99 or $150 for single men, and $49 or $80 for single ladies. There are no refunds.

Schedule, Membership, and Admission

Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 10 PM to 3 AM and Friday and Saturday from 10 PM to 5 AM, closed Monday and Tuesday. Saturday adds a dress code for men and the 10-man cap on single men.

The club also rents for private events at $800 per hour with optional DJ, catering, staff, security, and decor.

Planning a First Visit

Fill out the application online, get approved, buy a one-day pass or membership, and bring state ID and your own bottle. A Wednesday or Sunday night is the cheapest way in for every guest type.

Men going on a Saturday should skip sports attire, tank tops, hats, and sandals. Leave your phone in the car; the club prohibits phones inside.
