Resort takeover. A promoter reserves an entire all-inclusive resort for five or six nights. TRYST at Temptation Cancun and the H&H Bacchanalia week at Hidden Beach are examples. The promoter runs theme nights and pool parties and the resort stays closed to outside guests.

Setting and Pace

A cruise moves. Sea days are full of workshops, pool parties and theme nights, and port days empty the ship for a few hours. Resort takeovers are all-inclusive and priced by room. H&H lists Bacchanalia suites at roughly $3,500 to $4,900 per room for the week, with dining, premium drinks and entertainment reserved for the group. TRYST and Tryst 2.0 print no prices and quote through a travel agency. Regular resort weeks are priced by season on the resort site.

Add flights in both cases, plus gratuities on a ship and transfers at a resort. Deposits on cruises carry fixed final-payment dates. Spicy Vacations prints a 7 day full refund grace period on deposits, with all funds final 44 days before departure.

Who Attends

Attendance rules follow the format. Full-ship charters are lifestyle only by definition. Group sailings share the ship. Spicy Vacations describes open-minded couples with limited single guests. Illuminaughty admits couples, single ladies, non-binary guests and limited single men. Resort takeovers are adults only and usually described for couples and like-minded adventurers.
