About Sanctuary PDX

Sanctuary is a 3,000 square foot sex-positive event space and nightclub on the second floor of 33 NW 9th Avenue in Portland's Pearl District. You enter on 9th, behind the pink door, by elevator or stairs.

The club welcomes LGBTQ-plus, poly, swing, kink, and POC communities and all gender identities and relationship configurations. It has a DJ dance floor, a main room, a full bar with mocktails, and three dedicated play rooms.

There is no membership. Door fees vary by event and are charged per person with everyone paying the same. The calendar runs most nights of the week, from mixers and classes to the annual Vampire Orgy on September 26, 2026.

What to Expect at Sanctuary PDX

One late-September week shows the range. It opens with a Pickup Play Mixer with color-coded consent lanyards, a blanket fort game night, and FemPower for femdoms and fem tops. A Portland Leather Alliance consent class, Naked Karaoke, and the 8th annual Vampire Orgy close it.

Every guest reads and verbally agrees to the guiding principles of kindness, respect, and consent at the door. Keep a respectful distance from play unless invited, touch only after being invited, and expect zero photography.

Bring your own rope, floggers, and toys; the club provides none. There are cubbies and coat check but no lockers or showers. The FAQ is blunt about reading it first, and the dress rule is no effort, no entry.

Who Can Attend

Adults 21 and over under OLCC rules. Sanctuary says it does not discriminate on gender, sexual preference, race, ethnicity, age, ability, relationship status, or identity.

Singles, couples, and groups all pay the same per-person door fee, so there is no couples pricing and no single-men surcharge. Some events, like FemPower, center a specific dynamic; read each listing.

Hard limits apply to everyone: no fire, blade, breath, fluid, food, or race play, no fighting, no weapons, and no hook suspensions.

Schedule, Membership, and Admission

Check the calendar for exact nights and times. September 22 to 26, 2026: Pickup Play Mixer, Game Bang, FemPower, Naked Karaoke, and the Vampire Orgy. October 8: Vetting Your Tops. October 29: Kidnapping Roleplay. October 31: Halloween, 8 PM to 2 AM.

Naked Karaoke runs weekly with rotating KJs and karaoke at 9 PM.

Planning a First Visit

Read the FAQ and the guiding principles, pick an event from the calendar, and buy tickets online when a link is posted. Dress for the venue and bring your own toys and cash or card for the bar.

Try a mixer or class before a play party. Naked Karaoke is $10 cash before 10 PM and nobody has to be naked.
